FAQ

Do I need an account?

No. Jigu Korean has no accounts. Lessons and audio are built into the app and work offline. Your progress is stored on your device.

What is free?

Every Hangul lesson is free, and so are the first two vocabulary chapters and the first conversation chapter. Lessons open in order: finish one and the next opens. Jigu Pro unlocks every vocabulary and conversation chapter, lets you jump to any lesson, and adds Mistake Review, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and iCloud Sync. If your membership ends, the lessons you completed and your reviews stay available.

How do I restore a purchase?

Sign in with the Apple Account you bought with, then tap Restore purchases on the membership screen or in Settings.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Can I change the teaching language?

Yes. Explanations are available in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian. Switch any time in Settings; your progress is kept.

How do I add a widget?

Widgets are part of Jigu Pro. Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen → tap + → search for Jigu KO (its name on the Home Screen; 叽咕韩语 on a Simplified Chinese iPhone, 嘰咕韓語 on a Traditional Chinese one), then pick Today's lesson or Streak. Lock Screen widgets are added while customizing the Lock Screen.

Can I keep my progress across devices?

Yes, with Jigu Pro. iCloud Sync is on for members by default and keeps progress in step on devices signed in to the same Apple Account; you can turn it off in Settings. Without it, progress stays on the device where you learned.

Is the audio recorded by native speakers?

No. The Korean audio is AI-generated speech. If you hear a mistake, email us the lesson and the word.

HarmonyOS

The HarmonyOS version is sold through Huawei's in-app purchases, so membership is handled on the Huawei side. To restore it, sign in with the Huawei ID you bought with and tap Restore purchases on the membership screen or in Settings. To stop renewing, open Settings → Huawei ID → Payments & billing → Subscriptions on the device, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. For help with the HarmonyOS version, email gentleflowoverseas@gmail.com.
